THROAT CHAKRA

WHAT IS THE THROAT CHAKRA?

This week, we are focusing on the fifth chakra, the throat chakra. Your throat chakra is, unsurprisingly, located in your throat and is associated with the color blue. This chakra relates to communication, self-expression, and ability to express individual truth. If you’ve found it hard to communicate and express your true feelings, you may have a blockage in your throat chakra. Keep reading for tips on how to clear this chakra.

HOW DO I UNBLOCK MY THROAT CHAKRA?

CONNECT TO YOUR TRUE SELF

To speak your mind, you first need to know your mind. What do you believe in? What values do you follow? Take some time to check-in with yourself and connect to your “voice” – both your internal and external voice. Try this activity below to shout your truth!

POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS

There is power in positivity! If you don’t already repeat affirmations, now’s a great time to start. Repeating affirmations aloud can help create positive thought patterns and clear negative energy. Here are some affirmations to support your throat chakra health:

  • I listen to my own inner voice.
  • I speak my truth.
  • I allow my voice be heard.
  • I trust my convictions and act on my truth.
  • I do no harm with my words.
  • I speak with authenticity, grace, and courage.

SOUND & MUSIC

Each chakra has a unique sound, called a seed sound or mantra. The seed sound for the throat chakra is ham. Try chanting this sound to connect to your throat chakra. You can also listen to this throat chakra playlist on Spotify for inspiration. While you listen, try to imagine the color blue, or the ocean or sky, for added benefits.

JOURNALING

Journaling is powerful and can help you connect to your true self. Try responding to these throat chakra journal prompts to uncover your truth. If journaling is uncomfortable, allow these prompts to guide your daily meditation. You can always respond to these prompts mentally!
