Rachel Glibbery
RYT 500

Yoga found me while I was a high school teacher. My employer arranged for yoga classes as a way to help teachers find stress relief. I was a workaholic and a long-time runner who never truly took time to stretch, rest, or recover. I left that first yoga class a completely new person. I began to practice daily, and made the decision to enroll in the Inspired Living yoga teacher training in 2017. I studied with Sara Cain-da Costa and Michele Tampa Hoag, graduated in June 2018, and started teaching the very next week. During the Covid-19 pandemic, I had the opportunity to train with Bhakti Yogshala based in Rishikesh, India and received my 500 RYT in September 2021.

Passionate about various styles of yoga, I love to teach power vinyasa, restorative, yin, slow flow, and deep stretch. I have taught all over the Charlotte Metro area in a variety of settings: studios, gyms, outdoor events, workshops, private sessions, and virtual settings. I am also the Livestream Coordinator for YogaVibes.com, as well as a livestream instructor.

This year, I partnered with the City of Rock Hill, SC and received a grant to provide FREE Yoga in the Park to my community. I also recently joined forces with my mentor, Sara Cain-da Costa, and we will be leading a 200 hour yoga teacher training in early 2022.

I have a B.A. in English Language and Literature with a minor in secondary education and a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in TESOL, both from Winthrop University. I love to study yogic texts and write meditations to incorporate into my classes. I incorporates a mindful variety of asana, pranayama, and meditation to help each student practice their own unique form of yoga.

I’d love to connect with you and see you in one of my 3 weekly classes on YogaVibes.
