E-RYT 200, RYT 500, YAECP

Though I’d practiced off and on for years, yoga found me while I was a high school teacher. My employer arranged for yoga classes as a way to help teachers find stress relief. I was a workaholic and a long-time runner who never truly took time to stretch, rest, or recover. I left that first yoga class a completely new person. I began to practice daily, and made the decision to enroll in the Inspired Living yoga teacher training in 2017. I studied with Sara Cain-da Costa and Michele Tampa Hoag, graduated in June 2018, and started teaching the very next week. During the Covid-19 pandemic, I had the opportunity to train with Bhakti Yogshala based in Rishikesh, India and received my RYT 500 in September 2021.

Passionate about various styles of yoga, I love to teach power vinyasa, restorative, yin, slow flow, and deep stretch. I have taught all over the Charlotte Metro area in a variety of in-person and virtual settings, including studios, gyms, outdoor events, workshops, corporate programming, and private sessions. In 2022, I partnered with one of my mentors, Sara Cain-da Costa, to co-teach the Life Inspired 200 Hour Yoga Alliance Yoga Teacher Training Program.

I have a B.A. in English Language and Literature with a minor in secondary education and a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, both from Winthrop University. I love to combine my passion for yoga and writing by creating meditations to incorporate into my practice. My classes include a mindful variety of asana, pranayama, and meditation to help each student practice their own unique form of yoga.

I’d love to connect with you and join you on the mat!

Namaste!
